During the tour, we will visit the Piazza Castello and will admire the majestic Palazzo Madama and the Palazzo Reale (Royal Palace), harmoniously integrated with the Chiablese Gallery and the Library wing. We will have access to the Church of San Lorenzo, the royal chapel of the Savoys, renowned as one of the most beautiful churches in the world. In the Duomo, we will see the Holy Shroud, arguably the most debated and important religious item in the world.
We will then head towards Piazza Carignano, where the palace of the same name dominates with its splendid flowing façade, creating one of the most elegant places in the city. This piazza is an authentic testimony to the Italian Risorgimento; the Count of Cavour frequented the renowned Ristorante del Cambio daily for lunch. We will continue our walk in the Galleria Subalpina (a shopping arcade), an Art Nouveau jewel, to discover the history of the Bicerin, a delicious drink based on dairy cream, coffee and Piedmontese hazelnut chocolate.
